Dr Ed Henderson Jan 26
Stopped to see the post-Desmond defence walls in last week. The wall is lower on one side to allow water to spill out of bank across the green area with picnic tables. The road bridge has always been low and must have a limiting flow capacity.

Pictures from a morning walk on Glenridding Dodd and Sheffield Pike. Between the showers and the high winds we decided to quit whilst we were ahead, we'll be back for the higher tops another day.

Woke up early so headed through to Patterdale for a walk up Place fell, rewarded with clear views from the summit, I think it’s the first time up there it hasn’t been gale force winds!
