Paleodrama #3. Choosing a right spot to drill a clam can save days (!) of work for a gastropod. Not all succeed..... The hole that penetrates the shell was started at a different spot than an abandoned hole!

The shelled - a vision of elegance, grace, mucus. like this channeled topsnail (Calliostoma canaliculatum) don't get as much love as their more colorful shell-free cousins, but they're quite the majestic in their own right.

Day 5 no. 3: Blue glaucus. A.k.a, the cutest . This was my first try at combining gel pen and marker. The shiny metallic makes this more stylized than realistic, but I’m happy with how it turned out. Not so much with my photography of it, though!

Paleodrama #4. How not to drill as a predatory gastropod? Drilling between the whorls of a gastropod on the suture. The predator did probably not feed through this incomplete hole. Poor predator, lucky prey!
