Today we were at the GBSC 2019 celebration event! We'd like to give a massive shout-out to the 563,163 volunteers who took part in this year's 's ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ 957,377 bags of litter were collected, which equates to 4,308 tonnes of rubbish!

Thanks to those who took part in โ€™s here in the Vale. Our Streetscene team supported local litter picking events by providing a supply of bags to those partaking in a community litter pick and arranging for the removal of collected litter.

Monday I saw a crow at the roadside, pulling at wrapping with its beak. Today the image is haunting me. The effect of on is very real. Collect any litter you see - it does make a difference!

We're handing out 375 litter picking kits to parishes across Daventry District for the thanks to a High Street Community Clean-Up grant. Each kit includes a litter picker, high-vis tabard, gloves, and litter bags with hoops. Read more:
