My daughter was born on Friday into the hands of the doctors and midwives at Whittington Hospital . We were never asked about our ability to pay, our care was provided irrespective of class, race or status

Compelling data from latest British Social Attitudes survey. 90% believe NHS faces funding crisis. Cutting 15k beds since 2010, & understaffing NHS by 40k nurses & 10k doctors is engineering - quite deliberately - the service to fail.

Scotland Yard has the cheek to ask Home Office for more money to investigate disappearance of Madeleine McCann yet we have no money to invest in the NHS. Why are some lives more precious than others?

NHS thanks to Labour funding & investment has been the best run health care service in the world! It relies on goodwill of doctors, nurses & other health care staff; in contrast an insurance based US system costs twice as much with inferior patient outcomes

My sick patient with an Inferior STEMI tonight waited 2.5 for a critical transfer to a primary PCI centre. Felt completely helpless and knew my patient was receiving substandard care. There were simply no ambulances available across the whole region. Dark days ahead.

Isn’t it time we taxed the very rich the same way we tax everyone else? How can inheritance tax be ‘a matter of choice’ for the very richest members of our society? Tax the very rich properly & with the billions gained.
