Today I examined how the Boston Pride’s roster is coming together for . Three of the five players who have changed their minds about have signed with the Pride.

Signings are a vanity metric. still falls short of expectations and what is reasonable for pro league. Until PWH becomes a viable career option, it won't attract the best --- and is in no position to do that.

Anyway, at this point if you're a women's hockey fan and you're still saying stuff like, "I just don't get why players won't just play in the nwhl," you're being willfully ignorant.

Really? I'm not seeing emphasis on nat'l teams. I do see a few pundits singleling them out. But not from . However, I do see tremendous leadership from and nat'l teams. I'd worry if they didn't step up. That's what the game teaches you

Another player leaves the movement in favour of the NWHL, and it's a pretty big name for the league too. Jillian Dempsey re-signs with the Boston Pride for the 2019-20 season. Dempsey shares the record for all-time goals in the NWHL, and is second in points.

The signings are quality players. The lg will play with or w/o the Nat Teams imo. The NHL pays USA Nat Team $25k / player. which helped end their prior boycott. Why not supplement the NWHL pay scale❔

Brand was also 🧐 She was instrumental in the Pride’s successes last year and Boston will be absolutely STOKED to have her back.

Only one of many huge reasons there is the newly formed People & writers seem to leave out the fact that the players arent doing this just for other players. They’re doing it for everyone involved in the game. You should be getting paid to cover teams full time

also 3) again I really feel like the waiting for the NWHL to fold route is, at best, morally sticky and at worst, actively damaging for women's hockey, and the more we see players like Buie and Dempsey re-sign with the NWHL after sharing stuff the truer that feels

NET WORTH (pub. 1991) examines the alumni's 1990 decision on whether or not to sue the NHL over being "deprived by the League & their own players' association of millions of dollars" This thread will list quotes I feel are relevant to the movement.

Only suggests turbulence ahead and more negative PR none of us like or want. The truth is, if was funded like a pro league and managed like one --- none of this would be happening. is right to expect more. Players (and fans) deserve better
