Various food processing companies have come forward on my appeal to donate food products for ravaged people of Punjab. This relief will be distributed among the worst affected in coming days. I appeal to Shiromani Akali Dal youth and volunteers to assist me in this task.

It was an emotional moment to do ‘sewa’ by distributing aid in the form of food products and beverages to hit people in Phillaur and Sultanpur Lodhi. I felt sad I had to visit the ppl under such circumstances. I pray to ‘Wahe Guru’ for their well being.

Visited the affected villages of Sultanpur Lodhi. Sharing their pain, people blamed the Congress govt for the misery wrought on them as it didn't conduct the required flood protection works besides failing to check illegal mining which eroded river embankments.

The SAD is with the hit people. We will approach the Centre for more funds if needed but Cong govt should first release Rs 474 crore given to it. People are suffering on ground but the ‘rulers’ are only doing aerial surveys & indulging in blame games to hide their failure.

. is misleading ppl by stating it has asked for a relief package from centre. The centre has already given Rs 474 crore to Pb govt for disaster management. Once this money is exhausted more funds can be allocated.
