The Wages of Fear (1953) Dir Henri-Georges Clouzot, remade as Sorcerer (1977). Four desperate men drive two trucks filled with nitroglycerine over mountains to extinguish a fire in an oil field. Tensions rise between them in this excellent scene...

Nobody much cares abt my take on movies because I don't much care about movies But can we put the whole "aspiration to R" to rest? An R-rating is 𝘯𝘰𝘵 the sign of a good film. It's 𝘯𝘰𝘵 anything to be desired. What it often 𝘪𝘴 is a shortcut to lazy filmmaking.

Now Playing: Every Which Way But Loose (1978) The Clint with the orangutan. Oh yeah, it’s that kind of day. I’ll be reviewing it live with my Old Fashioned Light: bourbon, bitters, orange la croix, twist of lemon.
