Yes but why isn't it a main news story? The death of a rapper is headlined but our actors are overlooked! Come on !

Oh yes, I remember that Terry! She had just the right tone of voice to make it sound funny! I loved her in Carry On Screaming too. RIP

I first encountered Fenella as the voice of the Village ("Good morning, good morning, good MORNING!") but yep, I'll be unoriginal and say her finest hour was as the smoking vamp in Carry on Screaming

The lady was a vamp to the end: according to a spokesperson, Fenella Fielding was immaculately made up, including lashes, through the two weeks of post-stroke illness that claimed her yesterday aged 90. May she rest in peace and glamour.

Sad morning, sad morning, what a sad morning it is in The Village. Here is the weather forecast: grey and cloudy with occasional showers. Ice-cream is now on sale, the flavour of the day is fond remembrance.

And what was particularly endearing was her shakily applied eye-liner, matched by her impish humour. Thirty minutes of blissful adulation.
