My personal favourite (& underrated) appearance was “Cumbernauld Hit”, a bonkers 1977 Bond-esque promotional film sponsored by the Cumbernauld Development Committee. Fielding starred as the evil genius trying to take over the New Town.

Very sad to read of the death of that splendid comedy actress - iconic and wonderful in Carry On Screaming and a touch of class in my first film Wishbaby. We don't mind if you smoke. RIP 🇬🇧🎥

So sorry to hear that has died. She was always such great company - extremely witty and as sharp as a tack. The night she read at was one of the best ever. Apparently she went with her false eyelashes on, which seems entirely fitting. RIP Fenella
