Week Two for Recruit School 145 found EMS Training staff teaching the recruits CPR. Once done the recruits will possess nationally recognized CPR certification.

Engine 415 returning from what is sometimes refered to as a good intent call. A report of person possibly passed out in vehicle on side of road. Called in by another driver. Nothing found in area. Now returning to station during rush hour traffic.

We love it when our neighbors stop by to visit. This little guy and his mom stopped by Station 15 to drop off a little treat and say hi. He is now getting a tour of Engine 415 from Technician Swanson.

Medic 415 responding to a call for a person who injured their foot at a local business. Your firefighters and paramedics are always ready to assist for a variety of medical calls for help!

UPDATE 13600 block Bent Tree Circle, Centreville: Red Cross assisting 30 displaced occupants from 13 apartments. Damages $616,548. Cause remains under investigation. Cause of death for one deceased is pending autopsy. No firefighter injuries.

Important part of recruit training is physical fitness! Equally important to know how to work out properly. This morning Wellness and Fitness staff are working Recruit School 145 out while demonstrating proper technique to maximize training and minimize injury.

Not all requests for help are emergencies. And sometimes, people will even stop by station to ask for help. A gentleman just stopped by Station 15 to ask for help getting stuck ring off. After trying non-destructive ways to do so, it had to be cut off.

Units on scene of a basement fire in the 8600 block of Reseca Lane in the West Springfield area. Fire is under control. Crews checking for extension. All occupants reported out.
