Shout out to for the donation of screws for the Home Fire Campaign in Northern MN/WI. Our volunteers who install free smoke detectors in at-risk homes find it *much* easier to use these screws rather than the ones that come with detectors.

On Thursday, our disaster volunteers helped a family begin recovery after the RV they were living in was destroyed by fire. The fire was on County Rd 331 near New Castle, CO. We provided support for temporary lodging and other immediate needs.

Today the department partnered with the @RedCross_CentPA and 130 volunteers as part of the Day of Action, to install 768 smoke detectors in homes in York City. The sound the alarm program is committed to reducing fire fatalities.

Great turnout today in Troy helping residents with fire safety- we checked in to make sure had a home evacuation plan and installed/tested smoke detectors for folks who invited us in their homes.

At 1PM our disaster team in helped a family (5A) begin recovery from a home fire on Ballford Rd. At 2PM they helped a family (2A) begin recovery at another fire on 281/4 Rd. Temp Lodging and other needs provides.
