People fleeing for their lives should not then be victimized by the US government. There is no humane way to detain asylum seekers. They is no need to detain asylum seekers. These families are winning their cases all across the country, even under Trump.

Family detention is inhumane and serves no purpose other than to punish families for fleeing for their lives and engaging in the LAWFUL process of seeking asylum. It is unnecessary and cruel.

The children in family detention centers have ongoing trauma from being detained. We've seen children as old as 7 being fed out of bottles because they are too sick and weak to eat. Children who have begged their mothers to run and escape during transfers.
