Haven’t seen this level of vote buying in any ballot I covered before in . People lining up in alley next to voting station downtown , showing ID & getting ticket that after voting gets stamped. People walk out with money in hands. Bystander told me they receive 50LE

A litre of oil, a bag of sugar. Pasta; ghee if you luck out with a good box. For as long as has had elections, this how they've been run. Boxes are labelled with a gov-aligned 'party', a private company, or the gov itself. Noticed the uniformed soldier in the first photo?

Confusion among voters as on the ballot is not written YES or NOT but I agree / I don't agree. At polling station some need help, specially old people, many cannot read or write and know nothing about constitutional amendments.

Just voted No. We’ve been boycotting for years, lets try something new. Saw the young “ushers” who were hired to encourage people to vote. They were sitting outside the station doing nothing because there were no voters coming.
