Appalled at the nastiness on display in certain parts of today. I can only assume it’s end-of-term-itis. Debate/disagreement are v imp, but doing so respectfully is even more important. IMO it’s the one skill we should be role modelling in all phases of the sector.

NQTs mentoring ITTs. For me it's a real No. I'm a massive advocate for progression as someone themself who has accelerated progression, but mentoring is about experience... Discuss

I can't with most lately. It's all rainbows/unicorns and pinterest stuff. Everyone is so joyful and happy and while I AM a positive person myself I wonder don't these people ever talk about struggles or equity or vulnerability? Is it all just hashtags and pep?

Leavers' assembly today. Getting ready for a rollercoaster of a day, . They were my first class when I started at my school, way back when, so it'll be an emotional one.

Have you seen an increase in behavioural issues from some students this week? Don’t forget, for some students, school is their safe/consistent place. They know that’s disappearing for 6 weeks soon! Be understanding. Be kind.

Finally "on holiday" for the next 6.5 weeks. No lie-ins in our house though. So we are up and getting ready to go into town so I can raid my savings to survive the holidays. Sending out positive thoughts to school staff who are still in work for the next few days
