Pics from the Highbridge Doughboy Statue Dedication on Sept 28. The soldier I researched was Private Richard C. Nicholas of Ogden St. Private Nicholas served in the 306 infantry, 77th Division, and died of wounds on Sept 7, 1918.

We have a beautiful monument to "The Great War" half a block from my house, and there's a well-attended Memorial Day ceremony there that's been going on for at least sixty years.
