To my colleagues, a program’s commitment to diversifying their program is not synonymous with lowering the quality of applicants they choose to interview. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

In the immortal words of Smash Mouth, “You’ll never know if you don’t go, you’ll never shine if you don’t glow.” Shoutout to my IMG (& DO!) colleagues applying to and interviewing at our “reach” programs because we’re not the type to let them tell us no. Keep hustling 👊🏼

Program Coordinators deserve a major shoutout! They’re some of the sweetest people and they’ve had their entire system flipped because of a Pandemic too but so far, they’ve rocked it with amazingly smooth interview days! :)

This is a shout-out to all the students doing virtual interviews: you got this, you are doing great! 8 years ago I was on my interview trail, yet it feels like yesterday. You are gonna look back, in what will feel like yesterday, and laugh at all this craziness

My first “real” job was on a commercial painting crew. The next was as a dishwasher. Neither even compare to retail on Black Friday but both (and the others that followed) make me so grateful I got the chance to know that I much prefer a shift in the ED. 🥳

Had a nice change of pace during an interview this week, the PD asked ME about how I practice wellness. That was super refreshing.
