A message to all drivers 🚙🏍🚚... PLEASE 🙏🏼😔 I cleaned up an area untouched by human feet but littered by human hands 😔 I safely walked by the side of a slip road & found over 50 cans, bottles & takeaway cups (and lots of other plastic)

This is the view from my road. Beautiful, so why do people who park up to admire the view, chuck their rubbish out of the car? ⁦⁦⁩ ⁦⁩ ⁦

Volunteers risked their lives on Tuesday to pick up litter from the sides of Askam Bypass, thrown out of vehicles by mindless idiots. Not only does the rubbish impact on the environment, but someone also has to pick it up, so next time think before you fling!!

Overloaded with other people’s crap. 4 bags totally rammed with completely avoidable , 99% of which I’m sure has been thrown from car windows. Lazy tossers.

A couple of pics to illustrate just how dangerous littering can be. Any impact from a mower or flail & it can be sharp as a knife, potentially lethal for people, livestock & wildlife. It's a criminal offence for good reason!

Some 🤬 tossed this can onto natural old railway path, mouse crawls in, can't get out, dies in the can! I tried to empty the can, that's when the tail popped out. I was angry, now livid! Serious campaign against litter please? It's getting worse.

Thx to all who came along for our emergency litter pick this am- over 40 people answered the call, and collected 45 bags of litter, a child’s scooter, a push chair, a vehicle mud guard and a coffee table. (Yes there was also a cuddly toy!)

Despite having been deep cleaned by a small army of volunteers just a month ago, and weekly staff litter picks & a dozen litter bins emptied twice a week, theres another 18 x bags of litter picked off the floor in the main town park in Newtown today !

1st local litter picking adventure today. From one small location we collected a whole bin bag of waste. Most common culprit: small bags of 🐕💩. Why?! If you can be bothered to bag it then bin it! 5 and 8 year old shouldn’t be doing it instead!

There was a very good turnout of kids at today's litter pick; they collected 25 sacks of litter, plus a small BBQ and a wheelie bin! Well done everyone!

Litter is not just unsightly and expensive, it also kills millions of mammals every year, too. Nearly 5% of drinks cans found on roadsides contain dead animals. Don't toss it, bin it! Read more about our new anti-litter campaign:

So we did the at Chesil Beach today and found 2 full buckets worth of rubbish... a shame it was there in the first place but I’m glad we got rid of some of litter today (and actually it was surprisingly fun)!

To the person who just threw this from their car on my lane: who do you expect will retrieve it from the holly tree? ? ⁦
