No city administration has failed its citizens quite like Mumbai’s. A world-class metro reduced to a slum by 4-5 decades of corruption, apathy. Thousands of buildings waiting to come down on those who live in them. When will the super-rich state and civic corporation act?

Shocked and saddened over the death of innocent people due to collapse of a 100-year-old building in This is the sorry state of civic governance. BMC, MHADA must take action on a war footing.

It's murder by negligence, 2704 incidents of building and wall collapse with more than 230 people dead in the last 5 years alone. Our legislator has been raising the issue of dilapidated buildings for the past 5 years, but no action was taken.

Death toll of the building collapse rises to 5 and many more injured. Having visited the spot, I extended all my support to the rescue teams. If only this govt had right priorities & invested Mumbai’s crumbling infra & not statues, this disaster could’ve been averted.
