Yesterday we presented the bequest of $25,000 made by my wife Jan Smith, who passed away earlier this year. Jan loved animals, especially dogs, & it was so wonderful to honour one of her last wishes with our family.

Today started out pretty terrible, I even cried a little... but it's turned out to be pretty great. Once I got home from work, I was greeted by my Bubba. He put a smile back on my face, and gave me lots of hugs. All I needed was some dog time. 💗🐶

When I'm feeling a panicked about the whole Friday voting thing, i find it helpful to remember that dogs exist. and no matter what happens they will still have paws.

There are some things in life that will always make your heart melt a little. Tonight's (and many nights') episode is my lil schnauzer, curled up with her head on my foot, asleep.

Seeing my darling do her excited old puppy bounce and smile at me when it’s mealtime is both heartwarming and heartrending at once. The vitamins are working and she loves her noms but Father Time is lurking. 😥

IMO there isn’t a dog breed that is more or less likely to terrorise a cat...they just need training from a young age and to learn manners around cats, kids etc. Good luck getting the cats to not terrorise the poor dog! I have a cocker spaniel ❤️

I've found that my hoomans can get into moods sometimes and it's my job to hold their paws and make them feel loved. Must be hard to be a hooman I think.

Likewise in Canberra! Best city in the country and we’ve had the bag ban for years. Didn’t take long to adjust. And a pretty small inconvenience to help reduce waste and litter. People are just lazy complainers.

Not so glorious MUD🙈 This ‘mud paddle’ came hot on the heels of a ‘wet cowpat paddle’... dogwalks in the countryside are just great😬😬😬

Same! With the truth revealed it all seems mind-bogglingly ludicrous. What shocks me is contemporaries who share this view until they have their own family; then they flock back to church to instill the ‘values’ they were raised with as kids. Bizarre!

As a 1 eyed Hawks fan that was so fucking amazing Doggies and so well deserved. How good were your boys, especially the kids! Kept on responding/lifting when challenged. Hopefully back on track for more success for the 'scray.
