Return from meeting in Mannheim somewhat painful: hot weather, train was canceled, then delaid, finally connection missed in Frankfurt... I'll be at home 4 hours later as initially planned 😯

of course the one time I have a fancy first class seat booked (work trip, so I didn't have to pay) the train is cancelled

No conductors to be seen from Berlin to the Polish border. Unfortunately air conditioning still not working on Polish portion of the route.

The had a delay of 45 minutes because of the border control thing. Luckily one can rely on - the train to has a delay too (60 minutes)🙄👍

Had email 23.06.19 from to say there were changes to schedule on 30.01.19. No advice on alternative trains, seat reservations, if you need to rebook. DB not responding to emails. A disgrace.

Looks like I left Blighty just in time - change for Frankfurt at Brussels so long as the managed to get there without breaking down and terminating early as usual.

Let’s hope that won’t let you down, then! Despite the implications that its name might carry, “Gründlichkeit” no longer ranks highly on their agenda, and, unfortunately, neither does ...

There is one thing you can count on in Germany, when you travel by train, be prepared, that the train will be late or it won’t come at all. My train simply doesn’t come so I use the lost time to do some work on my iPhone.

The most un-German thing has happened to us: I guess someone at forgot to hook up enough rail cars? So not only are we late, but everyone has to stand.
