Have you ever heard about the "stumbling blocks"? The artist Gunter installed the 75,000th brass plaque on Sunday. The are inserted into sidewalks & roads to preserve the of victims of the Nazis.

75,000 Gunter has just placed the 75,000th & 75,001st Stolpersteine in Memmingen. They commemorate Martha & Benno Rosenbaum, who were able to escape the Shoah by fleeing Germany. Benno couldn’t bear to leave his hometown & so he committed suicide in exile.

The artist Gunter remembers the victims of National Socialism by installing commemorative brass plaques ( ) in the pavement in front of their last address of choice. ..."a person is only forgotten when his or her name is forgotten".

Gràcies Maite! Recordo haver vist per primer cop a Berlin fa uns anys. Del 2015 ençà diversos municipis (Navàs, Manresa, Sabadell...) han encarregat a l'artista aquestes llambordes, amb l'impuls de Una gran iniciativa!
