This is such great advice. While September is coming to an end, that doesn't mean the thought of Deaf and hard of hearing awareness should stop. Take a few minutes out of your day to help make someone feel special. It means a lot more than you would think.

As someone who struggles with hearing loss (something I rarely speak about), I completely agree with this. I hate talking to people over the phone. I prefer email, chat windows, text, or social media interaction.

When you listening to and Marilyn Manson’s the way I am remix and you get to the line of “ Until I’m grabbing my hair and I’m tearing it out cuz you’re driving me crazy” and you actually have a stress related patch on yo head. Idk. Just the way I am.

As a child of deaf parents I can sympathize with the problems that deaf people face, but I will never be able to truly relate because I will never have to face the type of treatment they receive.
