The amount of stories I hear about hearing people treating deaf people get worse every minute. Some take the time to understand so why is it so dam hard for others to understand and instead attack them for it?

When hearing people shout. Please if you feel the need to do this, it makes lipreading useless. Being deaf is not just about loss of volume, it can also be about lack of clarity so please don't shout. I just get nowhere with our conversation

Tune in tonight (9/12) for a documentary special featuring 3 predominantly d/Deaf families on A & E Network at 8 PM ET/7PM PT. Deaf ppl are severely underrepresent on TV + in pop culture so this is truly exciting.

Agreed That's why I was appalled when watching that a deaf woman was attacked on a train for laughing and using sign lanuague. More need to be educated and using technology experience deafness for themselves.
