I’m a and an experienced interpreter. Are there any techies out there looking for interpreters in the London area? I’m getting to know your work language and I’m looking for work!

Apologies if you are sick of hearing about this but I'd genuinely just like this to reach as many people on twitter as possible to let them know there is a little London event with signing. There are too often not enough events.

It's Deaf awareness week. If someone lip reads, remember to face them, and not cover your mouth. But otherwise just talk normally - trying to speak super-clearly often means you distort your mouth shape making it harder to read.

Can anyone recommend an app that auto captions your vidoes? I've seen people use them but need mention the names. ☹️ As someone with hearing problems, this is a growing issue for me, and I want to do everything I can to help those who need subs, too.

Using with babies "is largely being pushed by hearing people, for the benefit of hearing children. It seems like a missed opportunity to take advantage of the contributions that people can offer to the world." Thoughts?

I believe in myself that I can succeed being a deaf streamer, give them new perspectives on deaf communities, play as much games as I can and make videos for YouTube and streaming on twitch. It takes time to develop a new setup then I’m good to go.
