One has to remain indoors for him or her to be counted. Also, enumerators will mark the door of each house as proof that those inside have been counted.

Everyone who lives within Kenya's borders should be counted. This includes: 1. Outdoor sleepers 2. Persons travelling 3. Those in hotels 4. Prisoners 5. Those in hospitals
