As much as I admire the work these guys do, and this one is a brilliant cause, why the hell did the govt not step in to help here to get the guy home beforehand

So you mean to tell me someone who was Injured in a terrorist attack is relying on to get their house sorted for them. What a sham of a government we genuinely have.

has to be the best show on tv, with people simply giving to others and not expecting anything in return. There’s never been a bad episode. Funny. Inspiring. Brilliant.

I posted this when it originally aired. (MARCH 2018) And it still stands. tonight. This guy and his family’s life completely changed by a horrific event. The government must do more for Police and any other Service personnel that get injured on duty.

It feels like a telling indictment when a single father with MS breaks down, on being provided with a shower, which means his 73yr old, blind mum no longer has to attend to his care needs.... A shower. Have we grown so accustomed to austerity that this feels a lot to ask?

Amazing experience working with everyone on the DIY SOS team. People from all over the place came to give up their time to help a remarkable family. Great to see some good friends; old and new on the job too. It’s something I’ll never forget. 😃

As much as I love this program, it’s equally disappointing that it’s taken normal, hardworking people to help this family, when it should have been the government’s responsibility and priority to help them.
