Lochwinnoch is Renfrewshire's first Dementia Friendly place. Dr Morag Thow tells how the community holds events which welcome those with the condition and their family, friends and carers. Councillors have also pledged to undergo Dementia Friendly awareness sessions.

My mum's lack of orientation courtesy of means she feels she's always 'out' and often lost. I describe it here . I ask care home to remind her she has own room for rest and privacy. How exhausting thinking she is 'out' all the time.
