Merlin’s Well, also known as St Nectan’s Kieve, . St Nectan is said to have built his hermitage on top of the waterfall in the C6th. Legend has it that King Arthur & his knights were blessed here before setting out on their quest for the Holy Grail.

Finished surveying Tregeseal Passage Tomb, a lovely example of a Scillonian barrow in Penwith, missing a few capstones but they seemed to have been moved off to one side during the Victorian excavation. Passage orientated to Winter Solstice Sunrise.

Oh tourists. You’re back to your old tricks on our Cornish roads again. Lost track of the number of times I pulled in to a hedge this morning to let you whizz past without a nod or word of thanks. Rude bastards.
