Most of the responses to the is can answer why our society is so violent. When you beat your kids don't act surprised when they use violence to solve problems as adults. "If your only tool is a hammer, you'll see every problem as a nail" African Proverb

Concourt is quick to rule out mandatory discipline... But slow to rule in death penalty. Our enemies aren't loving parents, our enemies are the Luyanda Bothas💔

The problem with the is that you are not preventing abuse. Someone that was abusing their children before won't suddenly stop... However, what you have done is to create potential criminals out of people that discipline their children because they love them.

The cycle of violence. You beat your kids at home, some kids then bully other kids at school. Others take this violence into adulthood & use violence to solve problems. Society gets outraged & demands the death penatly. More violence to solve violence.

Any form of violence instills fear in children....could lead to anxiety, depression, difficulties with authority, poor self esteem, strained parent child relationships etc...there are healthier ways to discipline.
