Cuttlefish have millions of cells in their skin called chromatophores which they use to change their skin . They can do this in a split second, & flash different colours & patterns to communicate with other cuttlefish. They also do this for camouflage against predators

A new doctor! Ellie Lyell joined TRS in 2013 & found a love for in the . Her undergrad diss was on green, & her MRes on Appearance, Adornment and Artifice in the HB. Friday, she defended her PhD on Colour and Culture in Homer, Herodotus and the HB. Congrats!
