Not surprised at low takeup of cervical screenings if my experience is anything to go by. I was with a cold nurse for 20 minutes during 4 failed smear test attempts. Have to go to hospital to have it done.

I’ve been for my cervical screening today. The nurse told me I was the only person booked in who turned up today. It only took a minute & wasn’t uncomfortable. The nurse made it as relaxed as possible. Ladies, turn up to your screening appointment!

Okay so given the massive campaign to make women get their cervical screen, can anyone explain why it takes longer than THREE WEEKS to get the result?

10 years since Jade Goody lost her life to Cervical Cancer and Pap Smears are at an all time low in 21 years. Yes, they are uncomfortable (I've had 3) but a few minutes of discomfort is nothing. Ladies get yourself checked
