A million times yes to this. Almost 90% of people on Rikers Island are detained pre-trial, presumed innocent, held on bail they cannot afford. NOBODY is supposed to be guilty until proven innocent in this country. End now.

Let's see if the court recognizes the error of its ways & withdraws the warrant & if if bond will be modified. Taking weekly tests only assures client will show-up at court if court is intent on arresting for positive tests.

Just found out a client who paid has warrant for failed drug test-1st one taken & of course it was positive-she's a heroin addict! Issuing warrant shows an absolute lack of understanding of addiction & you can't quit cold turkey.
