The NHL refs forced a game seven. No, the did not show up. But they could’ve won this game. Whether it was the Orlov embellishment call or the denial of Ovechkin’s goal. The were robbed. Make no mistake.

THIS is the most accurate and important quote of the night. From Braden Holtby: "I don’t know. I thought we played pretty well to come out and we just faded. I’m not sure why. At this point it doesn’t matter. It’s over with and it’s down to one game."

just got robbed. That was a clear goal. Ovie got puck and that was minimal contact with the goalie...

Ovechkin is less than pleased with the referee this evening. Don’t like trying to show up the ref but the dude in stripes as been really, really poor this evening.

I don't get the embellishment call there. I have no idea what they're looking at.

That is a brutally quick whistle if that’s the explanation for goal being waved off.

Evgeny Kuznetsov is not having the game the need him to. Has to pick it up in the 3rd period. One shot, 3 giveaways, 2/9 on faceoffs.

Baffling how the just completely locked the switch in the “Off” position after the first 20 minutes of this game. Still a chance to close it out tonight, but it’ll require actually trying to score at some point. Or at least getting out of their own zone for a few seconds.

I’m ready for this vs Caps series to be over so I don’t have to hear Caps fans whining anymore. Geez there have been horrible calls both ways. If you want to suspend Foegele, you’d also have to suspend Orpik, Orlov, and Ovie. Get over it 🙄

The got hosed on many calls, especially the tying 3rd period goal, changed momentum up, but Washington still needed to play better to close out Carolina on the road, never easy with DC Sports, Game 7 it is
