I personally don’t have a problem with this. No, 1969 wasn’t a magical beginning of full equality for us all - we’re still working on that. But it WAS a key turning point and, I believe, deserving of commemoration. Dialogue welcome!

The is a pretty gross Liberal self-congratulation. The "equality" you're celebrating didn't exist in 69, doesn't exist today. Trudeau knows exactly where he can shove his gay loonies.

A kind woman on the plane gave my friend some money. She took a bus downtown, in January, in Ottawa, with no coat. She slept on the streets of Ottawa for several nights, under the bridge near the Congress Centre.

When my friend arrived in Ottawa, she had a student visa saying she was to study in Lethbridge, Alberta. She had zero dollars. She had no coat. And no place to stay.

Speaking of hatred, why did the Trudeau Liberal government decline to ban so-called "conversion therapy" — an extremely harmful "practice" aimed at LGBTQ people? Shame on you!
