There is something seriously wrong when some people have been waiting for an MRI and off work with no income for 125 days due to restrictions but 125 people can booze it up nose to nose on a small patio on George street.

The hatred today after a Newfoundlander comes home, legally, following all the rules. No one did anything wrong. The system worked. He didn't "come and go as he pleased" or "do whatever he wanted." He isolated and God willing, he'll be OK.

I know how important the daily NL COVID updates are to everyone but I’m taking a week off. My first real vacation since Christmas, and since I won’t always be near my phone or in cell range I’m going to suspend the updated. My colleagues will keep you covered

Please remember when you're judging this one establishment & call for the shutdown of bars, that all the other locally owned businesses w/employees that are abiding by the guidelines get dragged with it. Call for bars to get shut down, the good ones are punished too.

And that's how easy it is to go 1 step forward and 6 steps back.

Shameful. People are nervous, I get it, but making assumptions about others isn’t helpful. If they really want to help prevent the spread of this virus, cut the tongue wagging & wear a mask when out in public. Such a simple thing yet it appears to be a problem. 🤷‍♀️

Down on the Water Steeet pedestrian mall and have seen about 5-600 people. I’m the only one wearing a mask.

Of course we would rather zero cases, but this scenario is probably the best it could be. Travel, not bubble related, self-isolated upon return and therefore able to do contact tracing rather effectively. I wish him a speedy recovery.

question: Is it confirmed that NL will open borders (with no required self-isolation) on July 17? Spoken with people today who believe our border is open to all of Canada on July 17 and have family from Ontario with flights booked and no exemption filed.

This comparison is staggering. It also shows how important it is to do everything opposite of what you see from American media right now.

If we're measuring the value of jobs by quantity, there are 70,000 ppl in NL that get paid less than $15 hr. Most of which are deemed essential during . They are the backbone of our economy and deserve a living wage.
