Migrant women face stronger discrimination & are more vulnerable to mistreatment. GR.26 ensures to protect migrant women against sex & gender based discrimination as opposed to protection regarding only their migration status.

In GR35, the Committee warns of stereotypes, prejudices & traditions that justify , which in turn works to keep women in subordinate roles. VAW can never be justified. It is a human rights violation & deprives women of dignity, equality & opportunity.

👉The limitations of Equalities Act 2010 cannot address many inequalities, esp. intersectional inequalities. 👉There is no impediment in law or society to UK passing a separate Act that encompasses provisions of : provisions UK promised to adhere to on the World Stage QED
