I never had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Dudley, nor am I even in SOC, but what I do know is that Howard has too many low-quality faculty they could be dealing with instead of firing the apparent heart and soul of SOC.

Ms. Dudley is literally the best employee at Howard. People traveled MILES for our career fairs. I’m sick.

The fact that really let go of Ms. Dudley shows how the university really feels about its students. She’s the backbone of SOC, and I’m honestly hurt and disturbed right now

Ms. Dudley, is the heart of HU’s school of C. Without her, there’s no way I would be where I am in my career today. She’s an amazing advisor/mentor/Mom away from home. HU is doing a disservice to the next wave of students by letting her go

When students needed rides to interviews, help picking out suits, advice on research, recommendations, help developing skills as freshmen with no experience at all, emotional and moral support, Ms. Dudley would find a way to help us all.

I really want to be more mindful of who and what it invests in. This is a direct hit to students. And it sends a message.

Dear , : I am sure there are a lot of cost saving measures that can help the university moving forward. Letting Carol Dudley go is NOT the move. No sir!! Students and alumni for decades know her passion and greatness firsthand. She IS the SOC.
