Ms. Dudley is the heart & soul of the School of Communications. I’m hoping the mistake of letting her go will be corrected because she’s been such a blessing to SO many students/alumni, including myself.

Ms. Dudley is literally the best employee at Howard. People traveled MILES for our career fairs. I’m sick.

Ms. Dudley, is the heart of HU’s school of C. Without her, there’s no way I would be where I am in my career today. She’s an amazing advisor/mentor/Mom away from home. HU is doing a disservice to the next wave of students by letting her go

I really want to be more mindful of who and what it invests in. This is a direct hit to students. And it sends a message.

When I meet School of C alumni, we don’t always remember every professor or advisor - but If I say, ‘I know you remember Ms. Dudley,’ the reply is ALWAYS a smile and ‘Uh huh, Ms. Dudley! She still there?’ We remember her invaluable direction and support.

Over the years, I’ve watched as Ms. Dudley spent thousands of hours playing mom, psychologist, event planner and career planner to tens of thousands of students. We are her family. She’s irreplaceable. 📸: NABJ New Orleans

Carol Dudley has launched so many careers. She is the FACE of the School of Communications. Ms. Dudley made time for every student. From the freshmen without a clue about internships to the seniors debating job offers. Ms. Dudley deserves better. PERIOD!

Ms. Dudley was really the heart of the School of Communications, providing us with endless opportunities and skills that will transpire into both our careers and our daily lives. Out of all the staff at Howard, she SHOULD still be here.

Carol Dudley is the sole reason for my matriculation through Howard’s School of Communications and I am saddened, disgusted, and distraught by her firing. Without her almost 30 years of service many of today’s media professionals would not be where they are💔

Ms. Dudley is honestly one of the few faculty members I’ve worked with who was actually passionate about her job and the students. She always had a smile on her face and moved mountains so we could have internships and summer housing.

And without the help of Ms. Carol Dudley I wouldn’t have been apart of this monumental partnership. I wouldn’t even had applied. Ms. Dudley is a huge reason why so many students on our campus are successful. She’s an advocate.
