Asked Callahan if this is an injury he could take a year or two off and possibly come back from, but he said multiple doctors have told him it doesn't look like that's a possibility.

announce Forward Ryan Callahan has been put on long-term injured reserved. Callahan has been diagnosed with degenerative back disease, and is not recommended to play professional hockey again. Best wishes on a recovery.

Time to pick the hockey world brains again... with Tampa up against the cap and having to resign Point wonder if a guy like Alex Killorn will be moved... if u think yes what type of move would that take? Keep in mind His contract is still 4 more years at $4.450M
