I recall August last year when I went to a university teaching hospital to donate blood. Met a friend who is a medical student and he said his colleagues do not donate blood anymore as the management do sell it to make money.

I remember the first time I donated blood. I was a nursing student then. I fainted immediately after because I was enthusiastic about seeing the life I was about to save instead of resting for a while. 😂😂

Just got a letter through to say that I have Ro blood. Which means I'm part of only 2% of donors that have this blood type. Makes it all so worth while knowing 10 mins of your time can save someone's life ❤️💉

1. Blood donation is not a dangerous act to donors. It otherwise gives you the opportunity to confirm the purity of your blood via screening & the opportunity to help a recipient in need

I had to explain to him that, donating blood five years ago was not the reason why he was feeling this way. We really need to change our perception when it comes to donating blood, you never know whose life you are saving by doing so!
