A terrible accident occurs in the city and people use this to share and spout their twisted, hate driven, prehistoric views. People like this disgust me, yet sadly do not surprise me. .

It's a shell but the clock still stands. It feels like we're here to pay our respects to one of Belfast's beauties. A public grieving for The Bank Buildings

Fire at Primark Old Bank Building in Belfast. Police and Fire Service have arrived at the scene as flames begin to evidently grow from the top of the building.

The response to the Bank Buildings fire demonstrates just how much our heritage means to us. So put those feelings to good use! Get behind & others. Development doesn’t have to equal destruction. Value heritage, value the place.

I often describe tax litigation as firefighting. I did not expect to see this from my hotel window after a day in the Tribunal. The second phot being the one I took almost exactly 24 hours previously.

The news about the Primark flagship store in Belfast is absolutely awful. Such a beautiful building completely destroyed - hopefully it will be possible to restore it to its former glory. Thankfully, there were no fatalities though. 😢

So sad to see a fire engulf the Banks Building. Here’s a painting of the Banks Building with Mickey’s roundabout in the foreground. (a long time ago!)

Honestly, this isn’t just a building. It’s right at the heart of our beautiful wee city. It’s iconic. I’m so sad about this. 233 years old.

Horrendous sight in city centre this afternoon as firefighters frantically scramble to put out huge fire at Primark building. Thoughts with all the staff and emergency services.

This beautiful building was built in the 1700s & survived the blitz & more importantly the “troubles”, this is heartbreaking 😢
