If Czechs want out, in the end, they are going to have to vote him out. October's CVVM poll, like others, shows just how far away they are from uniting on a vision and programme capable of doing this - and that there are plenty of Czechs who back AB.

The article also describes how MEPs voted down a proposal "to prohibit politicians who hand out European Union farm subsidies from receiving the funds themselves". This "Babis amendment" was named after the Czech oligarch prime minister , a major recipient of EU subsidies.
