Fear of abandonment is more than not wanting people to leave. It’s constant fear of rejection and immense pain following the smallest signs. It’s needing people so much it hurts, to the point where your existence depends on it. It’s horrible.

I’m hoping everyone with BPD will reply to this or message me.. I’m working on a project. I want to know ANYONE with BPD’s answer to the question, “What’s one thing you wish people understood (about your BPD)?”

Something that always bothers me is how people always focus on “behavior” instead of being curious about the reasons WHY. It’s one of the things that pushed me towards black and white thinking -also overly hard on myself. The 0 excuse just shut up & behave mentality

May is BPD Awareness Month-Certain events during childhood may also play a role in the development of the disorder, such as those involving emotional, physical and sexual abuse. Loss, neglect and bullying may also contribute.

May is month. As someone who struggles sometimes its hard to see past the stigma and realize what you feel, why you feel it, and how you feel it as all VALID. You are more than stereotypes and mental health does not make you evil, bad, or unworthy of love.

Feelings and behaviors associated with BPD makes it difficult to live with people with the disorder.we often brush them off as confusing and annoying, disregarding the fact that they’re dealing with crippling insecurity. They deserve so much understanding and support
