I was Skyping a big library event tonight and answering some serious questions when the Mister awoke from his nap and sauntered into the room behind me, and half-naked, I might add. Screams of laughter rose from the screen, leaving him to flee & me all red-faced😂🤣

The truest advice I ever got about writing was that you don’t need to write down the really good ideas, because they stay with you. So why then have I bought about 4000 notebooks?

My book's deadline is rapidly approaching, so all I've been doing is writing and rewriting. I'm in the home stretch!

This doesn't even begin to explain the half of it. For example, this doesn't count in 1) Eating, 2) Sleeping, 3) Eating 4) Watching the , 5) Reading...wait, did I mention eating?

It doesn't matter who you are, you're going to run into trolls. My first one was an who attempted to destroy me by using & other fake accounts when she received a 4 star review from me. It totally backfired. You can't use Matt against me. Ever.

So my mom just left after spending the weekend and I am mentally exhausted. We have never gotten along and she only comes to see me because of my kids. Is there anyone in your life that you continually butt heads with?

Open Question for writers. What do you do to get into the right mindset for writing. For me it's always music, time of night, and lighting. What about you?

A spiritual moment for me as writer. A scene I’ve already written in my wip takes place at this old church in New Mexico. I've been driving past here my whole life but never stopped until now. Once I stepped inside, I felt my characters come alive.

Well I have the first 100 pages done to what I think is my best ready to be sent to the editor. It may seem like a small step but I have been at this for 4 yrs and I had begun to think I would never make it this far.

Seven days! I can’t believe a week from today I’ll be published. It’s insane. I had a lot to get done in a little bit of time but with the fuel of Red Bull I got it done. Now we wait.
