Hockney’s work continues to amaze and inspire me, his style evolves into new places as he ages and his work is not only an inspiration for the arts but for graphic design too.

Painting by Serge Marshennikov. What I admire most here is not really how realistic it looks, but how incredibly delicate everything is. Composition, lights, shades, textures. It's like you can feel the air of this peaceful room.

This is the time I long for blossom. Van Gogh nails it here and I adore the Japanese composition and the blue is same shade as my dining room.

Now for something a little different! Some beautiful prints by Kawase Hasui (1883 - 1957). The vibrancy and intertwining of harmonious colours along with the layered compositions lead to some really compelling and fantastical scenes.

Lovely walk along yesterday. Loved the sea slung seaweed, beautiful shapes, anthropomorphic, sometimes calligraphic.
