On July 26 1971 became the 9th crewed mission in Apollo program, 4th to land on the Moon & 1st use of the Lunar Roving Vehicle. It was the 1st J mission, with a longer stay on the Moon & a greater focus on science than earlier landings.

We remember Astronaut Al Worden, who passed away today at the age of 88. Worden served as the command module pilot for Apollo 15 and was the first person to complete a spacewalk in deep space.
