What a treasure! Not that your parents went through that, but that your mother had the courage and political smarts to take out that ad. Post it to com or .org so generations to come will have insight into her life.

Ancestry DNA results were updated again. Originally, I was mostly Nigerian. Then, mostly Benin/Togo. Now, Nigerian again. Not sure how I feel about the results changing.

I've been burning the midnight oil these past nights trying to solve a puzzle in one of my trees and now I'm looking at 3am. It's been a while since I got lost in my for this long. It does shunt my body clock out of sync.

When you can't find the entry you are seeking in a record source, consider that they might have been recorded under just their initial(s). Women may also only be recorded as "Mrs" plus surname. This is my tip of the day. Happy researching!

So I just received a DNA update today. I understand that the more DNA samples that they receive, they are able to determine origins with more accuracy...but this seems strange. How do I go from 7% Nigerian to 40% Nigerian?

If you can help: This is a wedding record of my 2x ggfather. His father is mentioned. What r the words under Robert & Samuel Ziegelmeyer's names? Is Breslau where Robert is from and Spandau where Samuel is from? What does 25 1/4 (is that a J?) mean?

Can't use your system. Response times and timeouts. What's up? Feeling like you should refund my membership since I can't use you on weekends anymore.

Can't use this application on weekends anymore due to impossibly slow responses and timeouts. Membership costs a lot and then can't use it.😑

Has anyone come across surname Taigue? Great grandmother's maiden name from Drumshanbo area, County Leitrim, Ireland. Could this have been mispelt for something more common?

This is a distant relative, and not my ancestor, but this is quite a story! He fought in the American Revolution at the Battle of Lexington in 1775 "with his SIX SONS, and had his short shot under him in the fight."
