I really felt for the paramedics on tonight, who - when faced with an elderly lady with advanced dementia and palliative lung cancer - used common sense and didn’t rush her to hospital for “Red Flag Sepsis” (in keeping with her daughters wishes). Excellent decision.

“Men are allowed to be upset, you don’t have to be the tough man.” It’s okay not to be okay. There's always help out there, please just ask 🗣. Your GP can be a good starting point

I feel like im tweeting this every week, but the program never fails to amaze me, from the call centre staff to the paramedics to the specialised doctors, they are so underrated in the uk and should be praised more, without them isn’t even worth thinking about

If it’s not appropriate to fly the air ambulance due to weather conditions or other factors, the team can still bring their specialist skills to patients by car. You can always spot them in their bright red uniforms!

Watching and it literally breaks my non existent heart that homeless people are on the streets in the snow. Before you judge him for being drunk imagine what you would do to get threw the day if you had to sleep in the snow 😓

I work at Southampton general hospital, we get air ambulances land all the time, it’s amazing what they do, the whole paramedics teams are outstanding & not get the recognition they deserve (And yes from my office I can see the patient as they come off,it’s not pretty)
