EU-MERCOSUR trade agreement: apocalyptic effects on the Amazon. The destruction of the Amazon is profitable for the EU because it allows the union to export without tariffs.

The Amazon rainforest burning is not "Brazil's problem" it's OUR problem, I don't think you get it, we will literally DIE if we won't save the Amazon rainforest, It produces more than 20% of our oxygen and is LITERALLY called THE LUNGS OF THE WORLD

Fully agree, and 2 things. 1) Bolivia is on fire of comparable magnitude and even more under reported. 2) let's by asking our representatives to push for sustainable trade with Latin America, joining protests and fucking cut out the beef.

The Earth’s lungs are on fire. Are we getting closer to the tipping point? An urgent change in the Brazilian environmental policies is very needed

When the Notre Dame was burning, it was all the media could talk about. Now the Amazon is burning down and nobody gives enough fucks to at least give it coverage. The human race is destroying the planet and it's disgusting. We're disgusting.

I'm so unsure, but I went to the twitter of Brasilian president Bolsonaro . According to BBC, he has turned a blind eye to people starting fires, and says all news are fake news, but maybe I can tweet until blocked, and demand action

Plants in the Amazon can't escape the ongoing wildfire, neither can slow-moving or small animals (sloth, anteater, frogs, etc). Sometimes we don't realize that we love something until we lose it. Please don't wait until we lose the Amazon to realize that.

Who cares who’s responsible for the fires? The only topic that should be on the table for discussion is how they will stop the fire from getting worse.

Instead of praying, it would be better to actually 💚 e.g. like: - go vegetarian/vegan - use - get involved: - vote for parties/candidates that care for the environment - change the system, not the climate!
