It'll remain hot and dry into this weekend, with temperatures above 100 degrees each day in Phoenix. A change in the weather pattern is possible Sunday and Monday, but details this far out are still unclear.

Temperatures a few degrees above average with just enough moisture for a storm or two near the mountains today. Temps will max out around 6 or 8 degrees above average by Friday, with another 100 degree day in Tucson not out of the question.

Seeing people post deterministic, one-run maps of a possible tropical system (that doesn't even exist yet) in the SW 8-10 days from now. They should know better for many comms & meteorological reasons.

100° days in happen all the time. In fact, Phoenix has hit 100° or more on 120 days so far this year. This is the 5th most for any year, and we still have another few weeks to add to the total. For some perspective, 2016 only had 99 days.
