Greens 10% of national vote = 1 seat. Nationals 8.4% of total vote = 23 seats. Thoughts on how we fix this problem?

Just a little aside that demonstrates how malapportioned the Senate is, Liberal Jim Molan got more below the line votes in NSW than the Liberal Party polled in total in Tasmania. That's the price of Federation.

So, what ‘dynamic initiatives’ can we expect from the Government over the next three years? 1. “All you hear from Bill Shorten is lies.” Can’t do much with that any more. 2. Tax cuts for wealthy Australians. 3. ???

Until now I hadn't realised quite how much hope I had (unreasonably) invested in the election. The light at the end of the tunnel turned out to be a train, and now I feel like I was hit by it - quite deflated and struggling to get back up.

Have people really just voted against climate change action, increased spending on education and healthcare, tax cuts for low income earners, humanitarian aid and increasing the minimum wage? I can’t wrap my head around it.

So f*cking totally depressed by the phenomenal STUPIDITY of the Australian electorate. The LNP are NOT BETTER ECONOMIC MANAGERS THAN THE ALP. Never have been. They tripled the debt FFS and trashed the economy since 2013

We can’t move to NZ. We made this mess, we have to fix it. There’s no Planet B, nowhere to hide. It is here & now & we owe it to the young, the disenfranchised, the fearful & the frail - to fight back and fucking win next time. At 67, I just joined a political party

Visited the Swift Parrots again today, following the recent election results. These critically endangered birds, as well as many other threatened species are likely to disappear sooner than we'd like
